Adaptive Needs Programs
This program provides assistance and accommodations to students with documented disabilities that may impede their academic progress. Services include notifying instructors about the student's disabling condition and the specific accommodations to which the student is entitled. Reasonable accommodations are provided based upon individual need. Each student must provide recent documentation of his or her disability in order to participate in the Adaptive Needs Program. The Director of the Adaptive Needs Program for Troy University Pacific Region is Mr. Phillip W. Gray. His office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Japan Standard Time) Monday - Friday.

INFORMATION COLLECTION
Troy University Pacific Region and Troy University System are the sole owners of the information collected on pacific.troy.edu. We collect information from our visitors at several different points on our Web site.
SECURITY
This Web site takes every precaution to protect our visitor's information. When visitors submit sensitive information via the Web site, that information is encrypted with industry standard software such as SSL, SSH, PGP, and MD5 Digest.
CONTACT FORM
The Troy Pacific contact form is used to gather feedback and questions from visitors. If a visitor wants to submit sensitive personal information through the contact form a secure form option is available that will encrypt the question portion of the contact form. Questions and comments submitted through this contact form may be shared with other University staff.
THIRD PARTIES
Troy Pacific Region does not share any information collected from visitor's with third parties. Troy Pacific Region may share information gathered from this site with the Troy University System for the maintenance of student records.
CORRECTING, UPDATING, OR DELETING PERSONAL INFORMATION
If a visitor's personally identifying information changes, of if a visitor no longer desires our service, the visitor can request their information be changed or deleted. Requests can be submitted through our contact form.
NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement so that our visitors are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
If, however, we are going to use users' personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users via email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. However, if users have opted out of all communication with the site, or deleted/deactivated their account, then they will not be contacted, nor will their personal information be used in this new manner.
LEGAL DISCLAIMER
Though we make every effort to preserve visitor privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.
Section 504 Grievance Procedure
A currently enrolled student with a documented qualifying handicap or disability who contends that appropriate accommodations or modifications are not being met should attempt to resolve the issue informally with the instructor. If an informal resolution has not been reached within ten class days, the student should inform in writing the Academic Dean or, in the case of University College, the Regional Director. If the complaint is not resolved at this level with in ten class days the student may inform the Office of Human Resources or the Vice-President for Student Affairs (Troy campus and Phenix City), and for University College, the Vice President of University College. If the matter is not successfully resolved at this level within ten class days, the grievant may appeal in writing to the Chair of the Accessibility and Accommodations Committee who will conduct a hearing before the full committee within ten class days and make a recommendations to the Provost who will inform the grievant of the final decision within ten class days from the receipt of the committee recommendation.
SPECIAL NOTE: The ten class day time frame is the maximum allowable. At each level of the procedure, the grievance should be processed as expeditiously as possible.
